One of our major clients is an international metalware company with HQ in The Netherlands and production facilities in the Czech Republic, Poland and India. Our client is active for numerous industries, like e.g. machinery, medical, building and automotive. Our client is a reliable supplier, with extensive know-how and expertise to satisfy the highest demands of her customers.
At present, to enable her wish to expand her activities, our client is looking to fulfil the following position Accountant/Financial assistant.
WHAT IS THE JOB DESCRIPTION LIKE?
You will be working directly under the supervision of the company director and you will be performing all daily financial duties, such as:
checking and accounting of incoming invoices;
preparing and processing payments;
summarizing current financial status by collecting information - preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports;
substantiating financial transactions by auditing documents;
maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures;
reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information;
checking of financial data and documentation for correctness, completeness and timeliness;
updating of internal guidelines in economic and administrative area, while maintaining a high standard company processes;
day to day work regarding salaries and HR;
being in contact with the group financial controller at the HQ in The Netherlands on a regular basis. You will also report to him on a weekly (sales) and monthly basis (P&L and balance sheet).
WHAT REQUIREMENTS DO WE HAVE FOR THE CANDIDATE?
you have completed secondary education or completed en administrative or accounting education with a bachelor degree;
at least 3 years experience in accounting;
knowledge and experience with the financial application ABRA would be an advantage, but is not a must. Skilled in MS Office is a minimum;
you feel comfortable in a technical environment, from where production processes are directed;
you have a hands-on, pragmatic and solution-based attitude;
you know your way around numbers and have a proven affinity with financials duties;
you have a thorough command of English, both in writing as verbally. German would also be an advantage.
you are reliable, cost- and quality-conscious, and are able to assist management with your ideas on a strategically and critical level.
